Description:

Mike Wiser, VP for Strategic Planning at CHAS Health, talked about the importance of collaborative research for his organization and provided some tips for initiating more effective research relationships between community partners and academics.  Dr. Ross Watts of Whitworth University provided an overview of the Partners in Campus and Community Engagement, a collaborative organization that fosters community engaged research and service learning.  She shared some ideas for developing more productive research partnerships.  Table conversations focused on Spokane’s top health priorities: Housing, Family Violence, and Mental Health/Substance Abuse.
