The State of Public Health in Eastern WAshington: Past, Present, and POssibility

Join us for a timely conversation about the role of local public health across our region. Five community leaders will discuss the history of local public health and its impacts, current challenges, relevant policies and priorities, and opportunities for growth. Leave with a better understanding of the impacts of local and academic public health in Eastern WA and how current priorities and advocacy can be leveraged to improve the wellbeing of our community.


Objectives

  1. Describe at least two ways in which local public health has positively impacted communities in our region.
  2. Describe a few key challenges to local public health that have impeded its progress or impacts in our region.
  3. Identify at least two recent policies or priorities and how these may guide local public health improvement efforts.
