COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH TO ADDRESS SPOKANE’S TOP HEALTH PRIORITIES

Description:

Molly Ayers from Gonzaga University’s Office of Community Engagement highlighted some best practices for building successful academic-community partner research partnerships.   Dr. Andrea McCracken, Gonzaga University, and Kelli Miller, Frontier Behavioral Health, presented a case study describing a successful partnership that enhanced engagement and access for clients of mental health services.  They concluded with a summary of best practices for creating successful research collaborations.  Table conversations focused on Spokane’s top health priorities: Family Violence, Housing and Mental Health/Substance Abuse.
